Gun Free – Just for December

I heard on the radio this morning that Gun Free SA is campaigning to have toy guns removed from store shelves over the December period, due to toy guns sending out a message to kids that it is ok to use a gun to get your way.   An admirable step, in some peoples minds I’m sure.

Ok, so I’m one of many that thinks the whole anthem thing was a disaster.   I am an English speaking South African, and I am proud to say that I know the entire anthem, in all its multilingual glory.   I don’t believe there is an excuse for “singing” the anthem the way it was.   The first thing that sprung to my mind, is now immortalised on green digital paper thanks to Windhoek…
